I’m sorry for your colleague’s family. Suicides off the Golden Gate Bridge make a ripple effect (pun intended) of grief. You might have known my friend & Salinas High classmate, Ginger Gerard. She entered the US Coast Guard and was assigned to the San Francisco Bay Area. It would seem to be an enviable post, except that among her duties was retrieving bodies from beneath the bridge. After a while, Ginger took a leave of absence, I believe.
